Spring is well and truly on the way for Liverpool as we are set to see temperatures begin to soar over the weekend.

Storm Eunice will be a distant memory as Brits all across the country can enjoy calmer days and warmer weather from the end of this week. Weather forecaster Jim Dale told the Express that Brits can look forward to hot weather arriving "fairly early" this year.

He said that the UK could see temperatures of 26C, 27C and 28C in the middle of April this year.

Meanwhile, the people of Merseyside will notice a considerable hike in the temperature this week as they feel lows of 0C shoot up to highs of 13C.

Tonight's weather will be cloudy with patchy rain in the north at first. The rain will soon clear then all parts will have a dry night with some clear spells, turning chilly by morning. Tonight's minimum temperature is set be be 0C.

However, there will be a fine start to the day today. The weather will stay dry through the afternoon and with only light winds it will feel pleasant in the hazy sunshine.

Liverpool will bask in milder temperatures, with the maximum temperature set to be 13C. Thursday and Friday will be dry with sunny spells.

Over the weekend, temperatures in Merseyside are expected to be near to above average. As a result, most areas should be dry, although breezy at times particularly in southern and western areas.

Some isolated mist and fog patches to start on Saturday, but these should clear through the morning making way for a dry day with plenty of sunshine.

For the final days of March, high pressure is likely to continue. This means that dry and fine weather is expected.
