Liverpool is set for another dry and sunny week, with some frost also on the forecast.
The Met Office reports that December would need near-record cold weather to avoid 2022 being the warmest year on record for the UK. Meaning the country is set for a temperature topping year, with highs of 7C forecast this week.
Today on Monday, December 5, it will be a cloudy morning but some brightness will develop by the afternoon. It will continue to be largely dry overnight, though it will drop a little bit colder.

On Tuesday, it's set to turn frosty with a sunny start predicted. Forecasters say there will be prolonged spells of sunshine with a light breeze.
This trend will continue into the week, with it staying mainly dry. The Met Office says it will turn increasingly cold with widespread overnight frosts.
Mike Kendon of the National Climate Information Centre said: "Although it’s too early to guarantee that 2022 will be the UK’s warmest year, the first 11 months have set up the distinct possibility of a record-breaking warm year, with only a very cold December able to potentially influence where the year will eventually sit in the record books.
"All of the top ten warmest years on record for the UK have occurred since 2002; a clear indicator of our warming climate. Human-induced climate change has increased the likelihood of extreme heat as we saw in July this year, but this year has also seen persistent warmth resulting in the year overall challenging the record previously set in 2014."
