Liverpool weather as sunny spells and a return to higher temperatures forecast

Merseyside should expect warm sunny spells and temperatures returning back to the high teens.

Merseyside will see temperatures rise again after two much cooler days after the bank holiday sun. Liverpool is expected to see temperatures climb steadily throughout the day with highs of around 18 degrees by this afternoon.

The Met Office has predicted sunny spells throughout the morning with cloudy intervals as the day progresses. The day is expected to be dry with warm spells.

In Merseyside the temperature is expected to feel slightly cooler due to a mild easterly wind that will gradually pick up throughout the day with speeds around 12mph. The day will be dry with the chance of rain less than 5% throughout.

The Met Office forecast for the North West said: "A chilly start with some sunny spells. There could be the odd shower, most likely over the Lake District this afternoon, otherwise it will stay dry with hazy sunshine through the day. Feeling warm in the light winds. Maximum temperature 18 degrees."

Tonight temperatures are expected to drop once again with lows across the North West reaching zero degrees. Rural areas could see a touch of frost but the region should stay dry with partly cloudy skies and light winds. In Merseyside however temperatures will not go lower than eight degrees during the night.
