Liverpool weather as city to bask in sunshine before rain moves in

Liverpool is set for a sunny weekend according to the latest forecast from the Met Office.

People across the city can expect to wake up to sunshine on Saturday with temperatures reaching highs of 16 degrees. However, the sunshine isn't set to stick around for long as rain moves in on Sunday, accompanied by a moderate breeze.

According to the BBC forecast, thunder could hit certain parts of the North West on Sunday, with showers turning heavy at times.

The BBC outlook reads: "Tomorrow will start dry and sunny for many with only a few patches of cloud lingering in places. More fine and warm weather in the afternoon with a light breeze and clear skies.

"Sunday will be a mostly cloudy day with showers, which may be heavy at times with the risk of thunder."

The Met Office forecast said: "A fine and dry day on Saturday with plenty of sunshine and light winds. Feeling warm in the strong sunshine. Maximum temperature 21 °C.
