Racegoers at the Grand National should expect a chilly but dry day on Saturday, April 9.
Merseyside is expected to face more chilly weather today with frost in places this morning. The Met Office has predicted a mostly dry day for Liverpool on Saturday, April 9 on a day when racegoers will enjoy the Grand National at Aintree racecourse.
While the weather is expected to be cold the Met Office has predicted plenty of sunshine through the morning especially inland. Across the north west there will be chances of cloud bubbling up and bringing the possibility of scattered showers in the afternoon.

In Merseyside the chances of rain look slim with chances of precipitation not going above 10%. The maximum temperature is expected to reach around 8C which will feel on the chilly side with the breeze.
Temperatures will feel considerable lower with 8C feeling like 4 or 5C in the wind. The strongest wind gusts will hit the region around 4pm with gusts reaching 21mph.
This evening and into the night is expected to be dry with light winds and the possibility of frost in parts of the North West with temperatures reaching a minimum of -4C. In Merseyside temperatures aren't expected to drop any lower than 3C.
