Liverpool have the perfect opportunity to distract themselves temporarily from the mediocrity they are experiencing in the Premier League when they welcome Rangers to Anfield in the Champions League. The Reds, despite recovering well from 2-0 down, could not hold on to their 3-2 lead as Leandro Trossard gave Brighton & Hove Albion a point away from home.
The Reds go into this match as the heavy favourites at 1/7 with Betfred while Rangers at a huge 18/1 and a draw is 8/1. Rangers are typically used to the betting markets being in favour of them in the domestic league but they are 9/2 for a double chance with a draw and yet this is the first time they have ever met in a European competition.
Jurgen Klopp's side will be looking to bounce back form there disappointment against Brighton at the weekend and look to remove their negative goal difference in Group A as they sit three points behind leaders Napoli. For Rangers, they sit at the foot of the group having failed to register a single goal or point in their first two matches.

Betting angles
Liverpool's defensive troubles continue this season having only managed to achieve just two clean sheets this season - even Everton have a better defensive than their city rivals in the Premier League this season which is why it is surprising to see both teams to score at evens - even with Rangers' lack of goals in Europe so far.
Players to watch
Liverpool have Luis Diaz, Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino all in good form at the moment. Granted, you may think four goals in 11 matches is not enough for the Egyptian King but the 30-year-old is still a threat going forward so rest assured he will be ready for when Rangers come to Anfield. But for me, my tip will go to Firmino with the Brazilian finding five goals in nine appearances for the Reds which has put new signing Darwin Nunez on the bench since his red card against Crystal Palace.
