Even Arne Slot admitted Liverpool were lucky to leave the Parc des Princes with a win, while Luis Enrique suggested the result was an “injustice”.

Indeed, goalkeeper Alisson Becker produced a remarkable display against the Ligue 1 champions, handing the Premier League leaders a crucial advantage.

While PSG will feel they can turn things around given the strength of their performance in the first leg, Slot’s side will no doubt be confident at home.

Liverpool vs PSG team news

Slot revealed Dominik Szoboszlai had not suffered an injury despite his early substitution as Liverpool beat Southampton 3-1 on Saturday.

That should mean the Hungarian starts here, having been afforded at least something of a rest. Cody Gakpo is back after missing the last few games with the recurrence of an ankle issue, while Tyler Morton, Conor Bradley and Joe Gomez are injured.

PSG are expected to restore all of Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz, Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos, Nuno Mendes and Gianluigi Donnarumma after they were rested for the weekend win over Rennes. Luis Enrique appears to have the luxury of a full squad to choose from.

Liverpool vs PSG prediction

PSG certainly have reasons to believe they can cause Liverpool problems, having done so all too often in the first leg. Still, their lack of goalscoring touch is a worry and the fact the game comes under the lights at Anfield is a further complication.

At home, the Reds have to be favourites.

Liverpool to win, 2-1.
