Liverpool welcome fierce rivals, Manchester United on Sunday and you can find our preview, prediction, team news and confirmed lineups below.
Liverpool vs Manchester United Preview
Arne Slot’s side have been almost faultless in the Premier League this season, sitting top of the table with a six point lead and boasting a game in hand.
The Reds cruised to a 5-0 victory in their latest league clash, smashing West Ham away from home as Mohamed Salah took his goal contributions tally to 30 in the league (17G+13A).
Liverpool have only lost one match in the league so far, suffering a 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest back in September – meaning they are on a run of 14 matches without defeat.
In contrast, Manchester United have endured their worst start to a Premier League campaign and sit 14th in the table – just seven points above the relegation zone.
Ruben Amorim’s side were convincingly beaten by Newcastle after the Magpies scored two quick goals in the first half and United have lost their last three league matches.
Things at Old Trafford have not improved following Amorim’s appointment, failing to score in their last three matches and conceding seven goals in the process.
It’s hard to see the visitors finding any joy at Anfield on Sunday, which is reflected in the odds on UK betting sites, as United have not won at Anfield since 2016.
Liverpool vs Manchester United Team News
Joe Gomez was forced off mid-way through the opening half during Liverpool’s win over West Ham and is ruled out for Sunday.
Conor Bradley remains out, but Ibrahima Konate returns to the side in place of Gomez
As for Manchester United, Luke Shaw, Victor Lindelof and Mason Mount are all ruled out from the trip to Anfield and are not expected back for a few weeks.
Marcus Rashford returned to the matchday squad during United’s defeat to Newcastle after missing four consecutive matches due to a possible fallout with Ruben Amorim.
However, he is kept out with illness, and is not part of this weekend’s squad.
Joshua Zirkzee was substitute in the first half against the Magpies for tactical reasons, receiving boos as he left the pitch, and drops to the bench on Sunday.

Liverpool vs Manchester United Prediction
Liverpool have been on a tear in the Premier League this season and have shown no signs of slowing down under Arne Slot.
The same cannot be said for Manchester United who look to be in a real rut, so we expect the visitors to pick up a comfortable three points at home.
Prediction: Liverpool 3-0 Manchester United
