Liverpool vs Everton prediction and odds: Mo Salah tipped to sink Toffees woes further and keep title dream alive

Liverpool will be looking for double delight this weekend as they look to secure a win to sink their rivals Everton further into the relegation fight while putting more pressure on the title race against league leaders Manchester City. The Reds are enjoying a 13-match unbeaten run in the Premier League and have only dropped points in two of those league matches while Frank Lampard's side have picked up nine defeats in that time.

Jurgen Klopp's side are the heavy favourites going into this match at 1/6 with Betfred while Everton are 12/1 and a draw is 13/2. The Reds have lost just once in their last 22 league meetings with the Blues which only happened last season under Carlo Ancelotti.

But now Liverpool find themselves in a position to win the elusive quadruple after picking up the League Cup, securing a place in the semi-final of the Champions League, setting up an FA Cup final tie with Chelsea and could end just a point behind City with five games to go. They will, however, need to complete a league double in the Merseyside Derby for the only the second time in the last 10 seasons - the previous one happened in the 2016/17 season.

Meanwhile, Everton will want to build on their recent form after securing a 1-0 win against Manchester United and a late draw against Leicester City both at Goodison Park. However, Lampard does go into this match picking up just one win in his managerial career against the Reds and has not beaten them in the league yet.

Player to watch

Only one person to watch out for me and that is Mo Salah after he silenced critics for a dip in form with an incredible display against United at Anfield. The Egyptian was back to his best against Ralf Rangnick's side as he helped secure a 4-0 win at home with two goals and one assists.

The winger, who has netted 30 goals already this season in all competitions, has a strong record against the Toffees too with four goals in six meetings. He is 1/2 to score anytime.
