Liverpool take on Everton in the Premier League clash at Anfield tonight.

The Reds welcome the Blues as both clubs look to claim a precious three points for their respective seasons. Jurgen Klopp’s side suffered a defeat to Wolves in their last match, while Sean Dyche’s outfit began their new reign with a victory over Arsenal.

After the weekend’s results in the Premier League, Liverpool find themselves in 10th place. A win for the Reds could see them leapfrog Chelsea up to ninth.

For Everton, a win in the derby could see them move out of the relegation zone. The Blues are currently in 18th place and one point behind 17th-placed Leeds United who have a slightly superior goal difference.

Coverage will start at 7pm, with Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville in the studio for Monday Night Football analysis and highlights.

What time is kick-off between Liverpool vs Everton?

The kick-off time for Liverpool for Everton is 8pm tonight from Anfield. The final match of a weekend that saw Liverpool's European rivals Tottenham, Newcastle and Chelsea drop points, as well as Everton's opposition at the bottom of the table such as Leeds United and Southampton beaten.

Early Liverpool vs Everton team news

Liverpool will be without Thiago Alcantara for the Merseyside derby. The midfielder is sidelined with a hip injury and the timeframe for a return is not yet confirmed.

There are also question marks over the fitness of Roberto Firmino, Arthur Melo and Virgil van Dijk, with each featuring in training this week. Ibrahima Konate and Luis Diaz both remain unavailable.

Diogo Jota could play a part against Everton, having returned to training this week. Whether the Portugal international will be risked to be included in the starting line-up remains to be seen.

For Everton, Dominic-Calvert-Lewin remains a doubt for the match after suffering from a hamstring problem. The striker underwent a scan last week as a precaution, but it remains uncertain whether he will play a part against Liverpool.

Nathan Patterson also remains unavailable, as he continues his recovery from a knee ligament injury. Michael Keane could be set to return, while Andros Townsend and James Garner remain absent.
