Liverpool vs Brighton prediction and odds: Jurgen Klopp's side tipped for tough game on Robert De Zerbi's debut

Liverpool prepare to return to Premier League action as they hope to improve on their league form against a Brighton & Hove Albion who are entering a new era under their manager. Since their last Premier League outing, Brighton lost Graham Potter and the entire coaching staff to Chelsea and brought in highly-rated Italian manager Roberto De Zerbi in.

The Reds are the favourites in this match at 4/11 with Betfred while the Albion are 15/2 and a draw is 9/2 but do not rule this as a sure thing for the hosts. In their last two visits to Anfield, the Seagulls have picked up four from a possible six points as well as score three goals in that time - although it will be interesting to see how De Zerbi sets up his new team up after Graham Potter's departure.

Players to watch

Diogo Jota will be looking to maintain to end his goalscoring drought for his club after ending a 20-game run while on international duty. The forward is 20/21 to score anytime.

Pascal Gross has been sensational for the Albion and Alexis MacAllister's masterclass against Leicester City highlighted how good the Argentinian is. Gross has picked up three goals and two assists continuing his case as one of the club's most influential players so would be surprised to see him get an effort or two in front of goal. He is 6/1 to score anytime.
