Liverpool v Man City news: Klopp's injury headache, 'Salah dropped?' and TV, kick-off time info in Ireland

The eyes of the footballing world will be on the Etihad stadium this afternoon as Liverpool travel to face Manchester City in a Premier League decider.

Klopp's Liverpool are one point off Pep Guardiola's City with eight games left to play.

Man City are favourites for the game with home advantage but few can choose between the two - here's all you need to know with just hours until kick-off.

Liverpool's late injury blow

Jurgen Klopp's team's preparations were disrupted by an injury scare involving Roberto Firmino. The Brazilian, who featured in the reverse fixture at Anfield, wasn't spotted at first-team training on Friday.

However, Firmino was among those spotted arriving at the Hyatt Hotel ahead of Sunday's blockbuster game. Liverpool could well be at full strength for the clash, but that doesn't mean Klopp won't have some tough decisions to make.

Should Salah be dropped?

Mohamed Salah is edging closer to penning a new long-term contract with Liverpool, but his recent poor form in the Premier League has seen some doubts arise over the Egyptian.

The attacker has scored just one goal in his last six games in all competitions, playing 90 minutes in only one of those outings. Despite that drop off in form, Liverpool are pressing ahead with contract talks and are set to make a breakthrough.

Negotiations have been taking place for much of the season and only now appear to have reached a conclusion that will see Salah stay at Anfield. And the 29-year-old can add to the good news on Sunday if he is able to inspire the Reds to a win over Manchester City.

TV info here in Ireland

The game will be shown live on Sky Sports here in Ireland with a 4:30pm kick-off time.
