Newcastle beat Arsenal: Newcastle goalscorer Alexander Isak has been talking to TNT Sports. “That was massive, against a big team,” he says. “It means a lot to the fans that we can win this game. It’s special of course, our fans are amazing every game, win or lose. So it gives you an extra boost. I have been successful here so hopefully I can keep going.”

On his goal and Anthony Gordon’s excellent assist. “The cross was amazing,” he says. “ I just had to jump and put my head on the ball, so credit to him.”

Premier League: They’re deep in injury time at St James’ Park, where Newcastle lead 1-0 and Declan Rice has just missed a glorious opportunity to draw Arsenal level, heading the wrong side of the upright with the goal at his mercy.

Greetings one and all. The weekend’s Premier League action got under way at St James’ Park, where Newcastle currently lead Arsenal courtesy of a superb Alexander Isak header into the top bin after 12 minutes.

We’ll keep you up to speed with all the goings-on in the north-east and stay across all five three o’clock kick-offs in the Premier League, before Wolves host Crystal Palace at Molineux in today’s late kick-off.
