Liverpool have been linked to several names since the transfer window opened and more are likely to join the list.
Jurgen Klopp will be looking to improve his squad after injuries caused the Reds' title defence campaign to crash and burn last season.
The Reds have already bolstered their ranks with the addition of centre-back Ibrahima Konate but who will join the Frenchman at Anfield this summer?
We take a look at the latest gossip from around the globe and rate how likely they are to happen...
Who?
Otavio
Where?
Sport Witness via A Bola
What?
The Portuguese media continues to link Otavio to Liverpool.
The Reds have been rumoured to be interested in the Brazilian over the past few weeks by various Portuguese publications and the latest report comes from A Bola.
A Bola contacted Otavio's agent Israel Oliveira who said a move could happen “if it’s good for Porto and for Otavio”.
Otavio's release clause increased at the beginning of the month from €40million to €60million but Porto could be willing to sell him for less according to A Bola.
The Dragons are looking to bring in funds this summer and after Wolves didn’t use their €20million buying clause for Vitinha they could be willing to let Otavio go 'for a price they deem fair’.
The report suggests that the €60million release clause is merely a window dressing and Jurgen Klopp's side could bring the player to Anfield for less.
Who?
Saul Niguez
Where?
Spanish newspaper La Razon
What?
La Razon sensationally have reported that Atletico Madrid are willing to negotiate with Liverpool to let Saul leave for Anfield.
The midfielder is contracted to the club until 2026 and is said to have a release clause of €150 million which could rule him out of contention in Liverpool's transfer plans.
However, AS are now reporting that €40million is Atletico's asking price with A Bola suggesting a little more than that price tag would secure a deal.
If that fee is true, Saul could be a wise buy for the Reds.
The Spaniard is technically gifted, creative and brilliant at breaking up play. He also has an impeccable injury history, a factor which is valued by Klopp following Liverpool's injury-marred 2020/2021 season.
Saul has missed just 18 games in his career and would make a fitting replacement for Gini Wijnaldum who was the only Liverpool midfielder to play all 38 Premier League games last season.
Without naming any specific clubs, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano said that many sides were interested in signing the midfielder.
Romano suggested that Rodrigo de Paul's arrival in the Spanish capital for €35million leaves the door open for Saul to leave the Wanda Metropolitano.
Who?
Youri Tielemans
Where?
What?
Former Liverpool man Paul Stewart told This is Futbol that he expects Leicester midfielder to play for Liverpool next season.
Tielemans has been linked to the Reds for a few weeks and is another name on the long list of Wijnaldum replacements.
The Belgian impressed at the Euro 2020 before his side suffered defeat to Italy in the quarter-finals.
Tielemans contributed to 15 goals in 51 appearances in all competitions for Leicester last season, with the last of those that memorable winning goal against Chelsea in the final to seal the Foxes first ever FA Cup.
Stewart has expressed his admiration for the player and reckons there is a strong chance the midfielder ends up in a red shirt next season.
“I think he’s quality. I know that his stock has gone up since the cup final goal, but I think he’s been quality all season and I can see him being at Liverpool before the start of next season," he said.
“But it’s a thing with Leicester, they’re going to put his price up really high because they don’t have to sell, but if the player wants to go the only club I can see him going to is Liverpool, and I can see him in a red shirt next season.”
However, the 24-year-old will not come cheap. The Foxes are in the driving seat when it comes to negotiating as the midfielder's contract does not expire until 2023 and he is valued at around €65million.
