Liverpool transfer round-up: Tammy Abraham drops hint and Christian Pulisic links

Liverpool could be set for a significant summer transfer window this year with two of their key players potentially departing Anfield this summer.

Sadio Mane has publicly outlined his intentions to depart Merseyside this summer, with Bayern Munich the favourites to sign the Senegalese international, while Egyptian colleague and last season’s top scorer Mohamed Salah could also depart due to a stand-off between the club and Salah over his current contract.

With both potentially departing, Divock Origi leaving and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also linked with a move away, incomings are likely to be needed this summer. Here are the latest transfer rumours coming out of Liverpool...

Tammy Abraham’s Liverpool hint

Roma striker Tammy Abraham has hinted at a potential transfer switch to Liverpool this summer following comments he has made on international duty. The former Chelsea forward, who has been heavily linked with interest from Arsenal, is currently with the England squad for the UEFA Nations League fixtures with Germany, Italy and Hungary in the next ten days.

After an England training session ahead of Saturday’s 1-0 draw defeat away to Hungary, Abraham stopped and shook hands with Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold. In the clip, tweeted by The Anfield Wrap, Abraham appeared to say to Alexander-Arnold: “I’m joining you guys next season.”

During his debut campaign in Italy with Jose Mourinho ’s side, Abraham scored 27 goals in all competitions to help Roma win the Europa Conference League. He also broke the record for the most goals ever by an Englishman in a Serie A season with 17.

In an interview with The Sun earlier this year, the Dutch international admitted that he watches the Reds regularly due to being an international colleague of Virgil van Dijk’s, as well as liking the Gunners. “The Premier League is a big league,” Gakpo told The Sun back in April. “Virgil van Dijk plays there with Liverpool so I like to watch them.

“We are not the same kind of league but I think we try to look at the Prem and learn about it. Everybody wants to play one time in the Prem. I don’t favour one team but I like Arsenal a lot.” With Mane and potentially Salah leaving imminently, a move for Gakpo could be one to consider, especially given his links to Van Dijk.

Christian Pulisic option

Liverpool have also been linked with interest in Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic. The United States of America international has struggled for consistency this season under Thomas Tuchel, but reports suggest that the Reds have considered former Borussia Dortmund forward Pulisic as on option.

The Daily Star has claimed that with Liverpool said to be in search of further reinforcements out wide, Pulisic could be a contender to be signed by Jurgen Klopp’s side this summer.

Pulisic has also been linked with interest from AC Milan and Juventus, with the 23-year-old having
