Liverpool transfer round-up: Reds 'submit' offer as Dusan Vlahovic swap deal mooted

While the focus of fans up and down the country is very much on the World Cup, the transfer merry-go-round never stops spinning.

A fresh raft of reports on the continent claim Liverpool are scouring Europe for recruits in midfield and attack with a view to midseason recruitment in the January transfer window. Among their reported targets is Juventus centre-forward Dusan Vlahovic, who has scored seven goals this season and arrived in Turin in a £63m transfer from Fiorentina at the start of the year.

Speaking of the Florence club, one of their in-demand midfielders is also said to be on the Reds' radar as they explore alternatives to Jude Bellingham, who remains Liverpool's priority transfer target but commands a huge price tag.

Here, Mirror Football brings you the latest Liverpool transfer news.

Vlahovic on Reds radar

Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic has emerged as a target for Liverpool, according to reports in Italy.

Calciomercatoweb claims Jurgen Klopp is a keen admirer of the 22-year-old and would like to add him to his attacking options at Anfield.

The outlet even asserts Reds chiefs are weighing up a swap deal which would see Ibrahima Konate move in the other direction. However, given how highly Konate is regarded on Merseyside, the report must be taken with a pinch of salt.

Liverpool in Amrabat race

Liverpool are one of many Premier League clubs targeting Sofyan Amrabat as he continues to catch the eye for Morocco at the World Cup.

Sky Sport Deutschland claims the Reds are one interested in signing the Fiorentina midfielder, 26, who helped his nation beat the likes of Croatia and Belgium to top Group F.

There has been plenty of clamour for Liverpool to rejuvenate their midfield and while Jude Bellingham is their priority target, alternatives with lower price tags are also being sounded out.

Bennacer offer 'submitted'

Ismael Bennacer is attracting plenty of interest as he approaches the final 18 months of his contract with AC Milan.

Italian publication Corriere della Sera, per Sport Witness, claims Liverpool have submitted an offer for the 25-year-old, who was on Arsenal's books between 2015 and 2017 but only made one appearance, which came in the EFL Cup.

Bennacer helped Milan win Serie A last season and lifted the Africa Cup of Nations with Algeria in 2019. The Rossoneri are desperate to tie him down to a new contract and talks over an extension are expected to begin soon, but interest from abroad could convince him the player to pursue a new challenge.
