Liverpool appear likely to have a busy 2023 on the transfer front with a number of potential arrivals in the January transfer window and beyond.
Central midfield is the most significant area where the Reds will aim to strengthen over the coming months, with World Cup stars Sofyan Amrabat and Enzo Fernandez among those to be linked with a switch to Anfield in recent days.
Jurgen Klopp will be hopeful of reinforcing his squad and receiving suitable backing in the transfer market as the club season gets underway again following the World Cup. Here, Mirror Football takes a look at all the latest stories coming out of the red half of Merseyside.
Reds confident over Bellingham
Liverpool are confident that they are at the front of the queue to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund this summer.
Liverpool have been credited with an interest in Bellingham on a number of occasions in the past, with Jurgen Klopp thought to be a big fan. Meanwhile, rivals Manchester City and Manchester United are also admirers of the Englishman, while Real Madrid had emerged as front runners for his signature next summer.
However, the Reds are confident that they can strike a £100million agreement for the midfielder, whose family would prefer for him to join Klopp's side. Dortmund are open to cashing in on the player next summer and are already sourcing a replacement for the midfielder.

Reds interest in Caicedo
Central midfield is clearly a matter of urgent transfer concern for Liverpool, with attempts to recruit at least one if not two top talents in that area in the coming months.
Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo – also linked to Chelsea and Manchester United – is said to have strong admirers on Merseyside. The Ecuadorian impressed for his nation at this year’s World Cup after an impressive 18 months starring for the Seagulls.
Moukoko deciding future
Jude Bellingham is not the only Borussia Dortmund player on Liverpool’s radar; there is also forward Youssoufa Moukoko.
The 18-year-old is one of the highest-rated talents in the Bundesliga and has already scored 11 goals in his fledgling club career, seeing him capped twice at senior international level for Germany. Liverpool are among a glut of English clubs monitoring his situation.
The Dortmund forward’s agent Patrick Williams has confirmed an update on his client's future will be provided in "the next few days" and that "every top club in the world" will be interested in signing Moukoko.
