Liverpool's ongoing plans to strengthen up their engine room may have been simplified.
Having signed Argentina playmaker Alexis Mac Allister before the Premier League window even opened, there has since been significant developments away from Anfield as Jurgen Klopp and his recruitment team continue to scout follow-up options such as Khephren Thuram, Manu Kone and Netherlands international Ryan Gravenberch.
On Wednesday afternoon, Jude Bellingham completed his move to Real Madrid for an initial £88m with add-ons as Nicolo Barella was linked with a move to the Premier League. However, there was shock when it emerged he could be heading to Newcastle for £50m.
Bellingham and Barella might have taken some signing, anyway, due to clear intent to spread the budget around on several midfield additions. Here are the latest transfers rumours involving Liverpool;

Khephren Thuram
Liverpool continue to target Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram as they look to strengthen their midfield this summer.
The 22-year-old is said to be keen on a move to the Premier League after impressing with OGC Nice. He's currently on international duty, having been selected by France for their impending U21 European Championships campaign in Romania and Georgia. Manu Kone will also feature there.
Reports have cited interest from Newcastle - and others - but Liverpool have emerged as front-runners for the player with a £51m asking price. However, it's suggested Nice might well be willing to do business for less than that figure.
Benjamin Pavard
Reports from German publication BILD indicate Bayern Munich want to sell Benjamin Pavard as soon as possible as he continues to attract "interest" from Liverpool and Manchester United.
As per the article, Spanish giants Barcelona plus two Italian clubs - AC Milan and Inter - are firmly in the running for Pavard as Bayern strive to cash-in on the 27-year-old rather than risk losing him on a free transfer when his contract ends next summer. No would-be fee has been mooted for the versatile defender.
Liverpool are, however, targeting a young, left-sided defender in their plans this summer.
Ryan Gravenberch
As previously reported by the ECHO, Gravenberch is being considered as an option for Klopp despite the undoubted complications over a potential swoop. Gravenberch, 21, only signed for Bayern last summer, and there's no clear indication they want to discard the former Ajax prospect.
However, developing reports from The Athletic state positive discussions have been held with his representatives. Gravenberch has, meanwhile, been pressed on rumours himself by Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.
Gravenberch said: "It could be there are plans with me. I haven't really spoken to the coach about that yet. That will come after the Euros, when I'm back from Georgia and Romania, then we will see how things are. I just want to play more, preferably at Bayern Munich, otherwise at a club where I will play 100 per cent."
