Liverpool is top of the league for baldies.
Famous thinning Scousers include ex-England footballer Wayne Rooney, who had a 2011 hair transplant when he was just 25.
But there has been a huge rise in chrome domes in the past five years.
Around 28% said they were bald or balding in a 2017 poll.
But a new survey of 2,000 blokes reveals over 40% are in the ‘not a lot on top’ club.
Liverpool’s total is 47%, with Southampton 43%, Newcastle 42%, Plymouth 41%. Bottom of the bald top 10 was Leeds on 34%.
Experts believe two-thirds of men are eventually hit by baldness, which can be caused by genetics, stress, illness, weight loss or iron deficiency.
Liverpudlian Jeff Finlay, 31, said: “I started losing my hair when I was 24.
"At first I was stressed about it but my barber suggested I shave it off for a ‘Bruce Willis look’.
"I’ve never been happier.”
Research was carried out for grooming website Humanery, whose Thomas Watson said: “We want men not to panic about premature hair loss.”
