Former Liverpool star Michael Thomas has told his former club to take advantage of the uncertainty around Chelsea and sign two of their players.
The Stamford Bridge outfit are currently undergoing an ownership change after Roman Abramovich was forced to leave following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
If Chelsea's problems persist into the summer, some players and agents may seek to leave the club and Thomas believes that there are a few players the Reds could sign to not only bolster their own squad but weaken rivals Chelsea. Kai Havertz and Mateo Kovacic are the duo Thomas would like to see Jurgen Klopp make a move for and bring to Anfield, believing that they would both 'do well' in the system currently employed by the German coach.

“Clearly the Chelsea situation is not ideal for anyone at the club, but they do have loads of talented players,” Thomas said.
“There would probably be two players I would take at Liverpool; Havertz and Kovacic. I think both those players could integrate into the current system and do well.”
West Ham United have also been linked with a move for former Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren this month but Thomas warned David Moyes away from a deal.
Thomas added: “Lovren was a decent defender. Solid but not the most mobile. If I was Moyes I don’t think he would be at the top of my wish list. Maybe a younger player that can play and get around a bit more.”
