Liverpool fans will be content with the club's early summer transfer business with midfield stars Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister making the switch to Anfield.
While it remains to be seen whether Liverpool will move for a third signing in the summer transfer window, it is hard to imagine Jurgen Klopp and Co making so few changes to a squad that missed out on Champions League football last season during an underwhelming campaign.
While links to the likes of Khephren Thuram, Manu Kone and Gabri Veiga appear to have cooled slightly in recent times, speculation around the futures of Levi Colwill and Romeo Lavia continues to be prominent.

With that in mind, below is a round-up of the latest transfer gossip concerning Liverpool, featuring both incomings and outgoings on Merseyside.
Romeo Lavia
Talks are reportedly 'ongoing' between Liverpool and Southampton over a deal for midfielder Romeo Lavia. That is according to German journalist Florian Plettenberg.
Plettenberg claims that, while there is currently no agreement in place between the two clubs after the Saints were relegated to the Championship, Reds boss Klopp is particularly keen on adding Lavia to his ranks.
It is also added that the Belgian starlet is yet to agree personal terms with Liverpool and that Southampton will demand a fee of £50m for the former Manchester City man.
Despite the Saints' miserable form, Lavia enjoyed an eye-catching debut Premier League campaign, starting 29 games and losing the ball only once out of 10 times when pressed.
Perr Schuurs
Liverpool will reportedly have to pay €40m if they are to sign Torino defender Perr Schuurs.
According to La Stampa via TuttoMercatoWeb, the Turin-based side have placed a £34m valuation on the Dutch defender, allowing them to sign a suitable replacement this summer.
The 23-year-old centre-back began his career by rising through the ranks at Ajax, where he made 95 appearances, before sealing a move to Serie A last summer.
His composed, ball-playing style earned a number of plaudits as he made 30 appearances across the 2022/2023 season, helping Il Toro record a top-half finish in Serie A. It was previously reported that Klopp has instructed his club to sign Schuurs at “any cost.”
Luke Chambers
Liverpool are in talks with German side Bayer Leverkusen, who are managed by former Red Xabi Alonso, over a deal for youngster Luke Chambers, according to reports.
Journalist Plettenberg claims that, while no agreement has been completed yet, talks over a loan deal are ongoing and that an option to buy could be included in any agreement.
Chambers was part of the England side that won the UEFA European Under-19 Championships last year and spent the second half of last season on loan at Kilmarnock.
He is yet to make a senior appearance for the Reds but has featured in matchday squads previously and impressed Killie boss Derek McInnes when opting to remain with the Scottish side and miss out on the U20 World Cup.
“It was so refreshing that he felt that obligation to be here and amongst it," McInnes said. “To hear that certainty and maturity really, that he felt the responsibility to stay here and fight our cause was great."
Josko Gvardiol
Manchester City 'have scheduled a new round of talks' to make progress on a deal for RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Gvardiol enjoyed a stunning FIFA World Cup campaign in Qatar, as his performances helped Croatia reach the semi-finals of the competition. Subsequently, the 21-year-old was linked with several of Europe's heavyweights, including Liverpool.
Gvardiol also made 30 Bundesliga appearances, helping Leipzig finish third in the league and just six points behind eventual champions Bayern Munich.
Romano states that the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League winners saw their initial approach of €75m plus add-ons rejected. Leipzig are believed to want at least €100m for their prize asset after losing Dominik Szoboszlai to Liverpool.
