Glen Johnson has urged Liverpool to make Chelsea star Mason Mount a transfer priority given the ongoing rumours surrounding his future.
With it reported by The Athletic earlier this week that the 24-year-old is seriously considering his future at the club thanks to the influx of new faces arriving, Mount is still yet to agree fresh terms with Graham Potter's side.
Having made 20 starts in the Premier League so far this season, Jurgen Klopp is known to be in the market for a new midfielder and Liverpool have been linked with a move for the England international on a number of occasions.

Under contract at Stamford Bridge until next summer, Johnson believes a move to Anfield for Mount would be tailor-made and could be the next step in the midfielder's career.
''Mason Mount could definitely revive his career at Liverpool,'' the ex-Chelsea and England defender told OLBG. ''He still has a chance at Chelsea too, the bigger players need to raise their games.
''So the door is not shut on his Chelsea career yet, but Liverpool would bite your arm off to get him and Mount would probably do the same to play for Liverpool.''
The Blues have spent close to £600m over the past two transfer windows and Johnson believes none of Potter's new arrivals are yet to live up to the hype.
''At this point, no Chelsea signing has been worth signing because no player can justify their high value in just two months of playing for the team,'' Johnson added.
