Darwin Nunez has been sent a message by former Everton striker Kevin Campbell about how long it’s expected for him to find his feet at Liverpool.
The Reds agreed a deal with Benfica in the summer which could be worth up to £85.5million including add-ons for the striker. However, the 23-year-old has scored just two goals since moving to Anfield.
Nunez’s most recent appearance saw him lead the line against Rangers in the Champions League. Despite having several attempts on goal, the Uruguayan was denied on multiple occasions by goalkeeper Allan McGregor.

Former Everton forward Kevin Campbell has explained why he thinks Nunez has struggled since moving to Anfield. The ex-Blues striker went on to give a timeframe of how long he thinks it will take the Liverpool star to settle in on Merseyside.
“This is one of the problems when you go to a club like Liverpool with the levels they expect to be at,” Campbell told Football Insider.
“His sending-off did him no favours. He was still getting used to the Premier League.
“He’s missed three games, come back – and now he’s not scoring. He’s not hit the ground running.
“Sometimes, it takes six months to settle in. Jurgen Klopp has the squad to change things around.
“He’s got to find the right balance, and he’s gone back to his tried and tested – and it’s worked, in a sense.
“Nunez will get his game time, and Liverpool will come good. It’s just a difficult time for him right now.”
