Liverpool are being linked with a move for Rennes forward Kamaldeen Sulemana.

Despite the transfer window not yet being open, the Reds continue to be credited with an interest in potential new players. One of them is Sulemana, who plays as a winger and is capable of operating on either left or right.

According to a report in Spanish news outlet Nacional , Jurgen Klopp has made a request to Liverpool’s hierarchy about Sulemana. It has been claimed that the German is keen to bring the 20-year-old to Anfield.

The report states that Sulemana is also attracting interest from both Barcelona and Real Madrid. Amid these rumours, it has been claimed that Klopp wants to sign Sulemana, with an offer in January possible.

It has been reported that Liverpool could make an offer for Sulemana when the transfer window reopens in the New Year. The Reds are said to be ready to make an offer in the region of £30.5m for the forward.

Sulemana signed for Rennes in the summer of 2021 from Danish club FC Nordsjaelland. The French club reportedly paid £17.5m including add-ons for Sulemana.

The 20-year-old has been dubbed as the ‘next Sadio Mane’ in certain quarters due to his emerging talent. He has six goals in 37 appearances since arriving at Rennes, with one so far this term.
