Alexis Mac Allister is said to be "ready" to sign for Liverpool.
That's according to The Mirror, who state the Reds are about "to end" the race for the Brighton & Hove Albion star by wrapping up a £70m deal.
The Argentina international has been heavily linked with a move to Jurgen Klopp's side, who are looking to sign more than one midfielder this summer. Manchester United and Arsenal are also said to be interested in Mac Allister.

But the report claims the 24-year-old, who won the World Cup with Argentina in the winter, "is believed to be ready to commit his future to Liverpool" and that "talks are a long way down the line."
Mac Allister has impressed for Roberto De Zerbi's European-chasing Brighton side this season and most recently scored the winner in their 1-0 victory over Manchester United.
The Mirror also state that the Reds are the favourites to sign Mason Mount for around £50m, but that the deal for the England international will depend on the thoughts of Chelsea's new manager, which is set to be former Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino.
The report also claims that, in addition to Mount and Mac Allister, Liverpool have made an enquiry to Real Madrid over Aurelien Tchoumeni.
The Reds wanted the France international last summer only for him to sign for the European champions.
