Despite a tough start to the Premier League season, bookmakers have backed Liverpool as the third favourites for the 2023/24 league title.
Jurgen Klopp's side will open their 2023/24 season in West London as they travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea on Sunday, August 13. The fixture will mark newly-appointed Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino's first game in English football since he left Tottenham Hotspur in late 2019.
Following their journey to the capital, it doesn't get any easier for the Reds as they host Bournemouth in front of what is expected to be a club-record Premier League crowd in Anfield's first game following the £80m, 7,000-seater redevelopment of the Anfield Road End.
Trips to Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers fall either side of Aston Villa's trip visit to Merseyside before the Reds host Europa Conference League winners West Ham United on September 23.

And after boasting an 80% win rate on the opening day of the Premier League season in the last 10 years, the Reds will be looking to maintain such an impressive run - which is only bettered by Manchester City in that time - at Stamford Bridge on August 13. If they are able to secure three points against the free-spending Londoners, it would be a huge statement for Klopp's side as they target a first Premier League title in four years.
As it stands, Bet365 have Liverpool down as the third favourites for the league title this season, with Manchester City and Arsenal tipped to repeat last season's top-two finish. Off the back of their remarkable treble, Guardiola's side are priced at 4/6 to secure a fourth-straight Premier League title.
Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta's Gunners are 7/1 to overcome their demons of 2022/23 and finish top of the table after 38 games for the first time since 2003.
After adding Alexis Mac Allister to their ranks and linked with names such as Khephren Thuram and Manu Kone, Liverpool are currently priced at 8/1 to add a historic 20th league to their collection come May 2024.
On the goalscoring front, Mohamed Salah (7/1) is priced behind Erling Haaland (11/10) and Harry Kane (6/1) to claim a fourth Premier League Golden Boot of his Anfield career.
The Egyptian is almost certain to be one of the division's most prolific marksmen in the month of August as he looks to continue his remarkable record of scoring on the opening day of the campaign for a seventh successive season. Darwin Nunez (16/1) and Cody Gakpo (25/1) are the Reds' next highest-priced forwards.
