Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has been tipped to replace Jurgen Klopp when he eventually leaves Liverpool.
The German has been in charge at Anfield since late 2015, when he replaced Brendan Rodgers. In that time he's ended the club's wait for a league title whilst also winning the Champions League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup. He penned a new deal earlier this year, but the Reds must eventually plan for life after Klopp.
He will leave huge shoes to fill, but the man currently in charge at Celtic is seen as a viable contender to replace him. The Australian has been able to make the Bhoys the dominant force in Scotland once more with former Celtic man Paul Slane backing him to be a success if Liverpool came calling.
“I think Postecoglou’s going to be the next Liverpool manager, I really do,” he told Grosvenor Sport. “Who else takes the Liverpool job after Klopp?” I think he’ll be the next Liverpool manager when Jurgen Klopp decides to go or Liverpool decide to part with him.
“At times in this season’s Champions League game against Real Madrid, the European champions, Celtic were unbelievable. So I think Ange Postecoglou is good enough to be the next Liverpool manager.
“He’ll want the Premier League, the top teams, the money… I think Ange will want to go and face off against the world’s top managers week-in, week-out. So I think it’ll be hard for him to stay with Celtic. But come the first game of next season, I think he’ll still be managing Celtic.”

Postecoglou was among those linked with the Brighton and Hove Albion job once Graham Potter left for Chelsea, but never entertained the prospect of leaving the Glasgow outfit. He's said: “By having success at Celtic, I’m proud that I’m getting noticed everywhere.”
Klopp himself is in no rush to leave having committed himself until 2026. That would mean he'll have spent more than a decade at Anfield, should he see out his contract. This term Liverpool have looked out of sorts in the early months, but are expected to eventually hit top form.
Klopp lost Sadio Mane in the summer and replaced him with club-record signing Darwin Nunez, who is still adapting to the Premier League. The German will also have to regenerate several areas of his squad as leading figures continue to age which will present unique challenges
