Sadio Mane has not fulfilled his commitment to issuing a clear update over his club future as he said he would prior to Liverpool's recent Champions League final defeat.
Speculation surrounding the Senegal star has been rife as relentless rumours tout Mane with a Reds exit this summer. This has hardly been helped by the fact the Anfield favourite told reporters he would offer more clarity over where he will play his football after the showpiece event against Real Madrid last month.
Speaking ahead of the game, the 30-year-old said: "Honestly I think the answer I can give you now is I feel very good, and I am fully focused on the Saturday game, that is the answer I must give before the final.
"But come back to me on Saturday and I will give you the best answer you want to hear, for sure. It’s special. I will give you all you want to hear then." It has been over a week and a half and Mane is yet to reveal where he could be heading this summer, or if he is leaving at all.
The Liverpool talisman could end this saga whenever he sees fit if he does harbour intentions to stay, but it seems as if he is nearing the Anfield exit. Mane even appeared to cite the desire of the Senegalese people as a reason to leave.
Referencing an online poll that showed a majority of his compatriots were in favour of a summer move, Mane told the media: "Like everyone else, I'm on social media and I see the comments.

"Isn't it between 60-70% of Senegalese that want me to leave Liverpool? I will do what they want. We will see soon. Don't be in a hurry because we will see this together. The future will tell us."
A move to Bayern Munich appears the most likely, with the German giants willing to make Mane their highest earner as they look to prepare for life without their own wantaway striker Robert Lewandowski.
If Mane is to leave, it may not spell total disaster for Jurgen Klopp's men. They have already been linked with Arsenal sensation Bukayo Saka and are now touted with a mega-money move for highly sought Benfica striker Darwin Nunez.
The Portuguese side value their prized asset at around the £85million mark - which would surpass the current Liverpool transfer record of £75m forked out on central defensive stalwart Virgil van Dijk. Former Chelsea star Tony Cascarino believes that record will be broken in the coming months.
"I’m not scared", Cascarino told talkSPORT when discussing the idea of losing Mane. "League Cup winners, FA Cup winners, final of the Champions League and 92 points in the Premier League.
"I trust in the recruitment team at Liverpool and this time last summer I remember talking about Gini Wijnaldum, he was a big player - not as big as Mane, one of Liverpool’s best.
"It does happen, big clubs do lose very important players, it’s what you do to replace them. I think Liverpool have started that process by bringing in Jota and Luis Diaz. I will be amazed if by the end of this transfer window Liverpool haven’t broken their own transfer record. I will be amazed."
