Churrasco Steakhouse in Aigburth has now expanded into the city with its new restaurant.
The popular steak restaurant has taken over George’s Great British Kitchen on Paradise Street, and continues to get rave reviews.
I personally have been going to this steakhouse for years, so I was over the moon when they started doing brunch!

The option for brunch is currently only at their Aigburth venue, and after looking at the impressive menu, I knew I had to go. The question was, could their brunch live up to the quality of their incredible steak?
The atmosphere
I booked for us to have our brunch in the 'cabin', which is a dog-friendly option. I've eaten steak in there before and it’s so cosy!
I really like the ambience of the cabin and although it’s separate from the actual restaurant it’s got a buzzing atmosphere.
Perhaps the best part about the cabins is the warmth, they have an array of heaters in there which is perfect for a chilly February.
The cabins have a really rustic aesthetic and are often seasonally decorated, which is a nice touch. For brunch, the cabin was very relaxing, and had a real ‘homely’ feel to it.
The food
I was utterly amazed with the food. Each dish was cooked to absolute perfection, and very promptly too.
I chose the ‘eggs benny’ which featured some deliciously poached eggs on two soft toasted English muffins, crispy Parma ham, and thick homemade hollandaise sauce.
The poached eggs were just the right amount of runny, and the crispy salty Parma ham really added to the brunch.
We also ordered the ‘French toast bacon butties’ which is a dish I’ve definitely never seen on a menu before!

It included sweet eggy French toast with salty smoked streaky bacon, a sprinkle of icing sugar and maple syrup for dipping. Everything about the dish was moreish, with just the right amount of salty and sweet to really tickle the taste buds.
As a side, we also decided to order the ‘loaded hash browns’ which really caught our eye on the menu.

The options for the loaded hash browns were steak, parmesan and hollandaise, chorizo, parmesan and hollandaise and avocado with tomato salsa.
Although we were getting full, we just about managed the hash browns that literally melted in our mouths.
We chose the chorizo, parmesan and hollandaise and I was still gobsmacked at how thick and creamy the sauce was!
The verdict
If anyone asks me for brunch recommendations in Liverpool, Churrasco is going to be my number one. Although the Aigburth venue is somewhat tucked away, the sheer popularity of Churrasco is a big giveaway on the quality of food.

They’re not just experts at steak, they’re experts at brunch too, and I’ll 100% be coming back here. I’ve never had poached eggs so perfect, and I can’t wait to go back again.
