Liverpool's Mohamed Salah has been ranked as the second-best player in the Premier League by football management simulation game, Football Manager 2023.
Football Manager 2023 was released on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 on PC, Mac, Xbox Series S/X, Nintendo Switch and Mobile Devices. Football Manager titles are known for their extremely detailed and accurate database, with several clubs having used the database to help shape their recruitment strategies.
And, according to FM23, Salah is the joint second-best player in the Premier League and the joint fourth-best player in the world, along with Ballon d'Or winner, Karim Benzema. Salah had another incredible campaign for Liverpool last season, scoring 31 and assisting 15 in all competitions.

In FM23, players are ranked between 1-200 on Current Ability (CA) and Potential Ability (PA). Current Ability is how good the player is currently, and Potential Ability is how good the player can become in the future.
Using CA, Salah is ranked as the joint second-best footballer in the Premier League with Manchester City's Erling Haaland, both ranked 185/200. Only Man City's Kevin De Bruyne is ahead of the Egyptian, ranked 189/200.
Compared to when Football Manager 2022 was released, Salah remains second behind De Bruyne, with the Reds winger's CA increasing from 184 to 185. Virgil van Dijk is the next highest Liverpool player on the list, with the Dutch defender ranked the fifth best in the league with a CA of 181/200.
As a club, Liverpool have 10 players featured in the Premier League top 50, with only Manchester City (15) having more. Here are the players in the list along with where they rank in the top 50

Football Manager 2023 is out now on PC and Mac, whilst FM23 Touch is also out now for Nintendo Switch and Apple Arcade, so the game can be played on iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple TV for the first time. FM23 console his out now on Xbox Series S/X, but the PS5 release has been delayed indefinitely.
