Liverpool star praises Arsenal and Tottenham summer transfers after Premier League prediction

Liverpool star Fabinho has praised Arsenal and Tottenham for their transfers so far this summer. The two north London clubs have been busy in the window making a number of additions before the new season.

The sides were embroiled in a tough contest for a top four finish last campaign. It was a race eventually won out by Spurs, who make their return to the Champions League while their bitter rivals settle for Europa League.

With another busy fixture calendar ahead, the transfer window has provided a chance to strengthen the options available to everyone. The Gunners have already looked to solve a number of issues within their squad.

Mikel Arteta has added four new players, all of whom hope to solve the issue with squad depth. That number could soon tick over to five signings as Arsenal have agreed a £30million fee with Manchester City for Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Rivals Tottenham have been equally busy, adding five players of their own to the squad. Manager Antonio Conte has been heavily backed following his top four triumph, hoping to get his side competing for silverware again.

It’s moves from both teams that has led to plenty of praise from challengers of their own in the Premier League. Liverpool star Fabinho commented on how both teams have fared, telling The Athletic: “City are obviously the favourites and it’s tough to fight against them to win the Prem.

“You can play one of your best seasons like we did, score more than 90 points and it still doesn’t mean you win the title. We know that if we want to win it we’ll need to be almost perfect.

“City are always buying new players, always reinforcing their team. This summer was no different with [Erling] Haaland joining them. I think it will be a really good battle with them, but not just them.

“Tottenham have bought some good players, Arsenal too with Gabriel Jesus going there, Chelsea too. Everyone has been reinforcing because everyone wants to beat City. That means the Premier League will be at a really good level this season.”

The Premier League is poised for another thrilling season, but it remains to be seen whether even more additions could be made to swing the campaign in a team’s favour.
