Liverpool star Mohamed Salah mocked by Dejan Lovren after Instagram post

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has engaged in a funny social media exchange with his old team-mate, Dejan Lovren.

During the latter’s time at Anfield, Lovren formed a close friendship with Salah and the pair have stayed close following the defender’s exit. Lovren left Liverpool in 2020 to join Russian club Zenit St Petersburg in a £10.9million deal.

Salah recently posted a photo on his Instagram account, where he was shirtless while on his holidays. Lovren commented on the post by writing: “Photoshop 100%”.

Now Lovren has posted another photo, this time on his Instagram story, where he reveals that Salah called him following the comment. The post featured a screenshot of a video call between the pair, where Salah is laughing and Lovren is showing off his chest.

Lovren captioned the post by writing: “Immediately he called me after my comment and said ‘don’t be jealous’. I am not. Little bit, okay!

“I took my shirt off and showed what 100% no photoshop looks like”, followed by two laughing face emojis and a bicep emoji.

This is not the first time that Lovren has mocked Salah following one of his social media posts. In March, when Salah posted another shirtless photo, the Croatia international made a joke at the Egyptian’s expense. Lovren wrote: “"Picture taken 20sec after your upper body session. Not Bad."

Lovren played 131 times for Liverpool, scoring five goals, and left Anfield with both Champions League and Premier League medals.
