Diogo Jota is used to success on the pitch but has now had a big win off it, after getting engaged ahead of the new Premier League season.
And the Portuguese international has shown his softer side by posting a romantic video of him proposing to his childhood sweetheart Rute Cardoso. Jota, who found the net 21 times for the Reds last season, shared news of his engagement via Twitter on Friday evening.
The video begins with a picturesque lakeside setting where a table is set up for dinner. On the table is an engagement ring in a white box.

The short clip captures the moment Cardoso realises that Jota has asked her to marry him, before showing the couple embrace and then running together across the grounds of the setting.
The clip, which has been viewed over 160,000 times already, has been widely shared and brought well wishes from supporters across the globe.
Fan Denise Tallon, from Kendal wrote: "Congratulations to you both, may you always be happy together YNWA." Sachin Talwar added: "Lovely video of a beautiful moment when three letters - yes - mean everything. Congratulations to both of you! YNWA."
Having met in high school, Porto-born Rute Cardoso has been at Jota's side throughout his career but keeps a low profile, while her now fiancé does the business for Liverpool and Portugal.
