Liverpool have no intention of cutting short Arthur Melo's loan transfer as the Brazilian edges nearer a return to fitness.
The Reds paid Juventus a loan fee of around £3.5million to sign Arthur on a season-long deal on deadline day in September as they grappled with an injury crisis in midfield.
The 26-year-old made his debut with a 13-minute run-out from the bench in the 4-1 Champions League group opener defeat at Napoli on September 7 and was an unused substitute in three further games, along with a 63-minute run-out in the EFL Trophy at Rochdale as he looked to build up his match fitness.

But the midfielder then suffered a thigh injury in training in October that required surgery and has subsequently kept him on the sidelines.
Reports in Brazil have suggested Palmeiras are considering a move for the 26-year-old before the transfer window closes at the end of the month. However, the ECHO understands there are no plans for the player to return from Liverpool to Juventus and pursue another move elsewhere.
Arthur, who initially returned to Brazil to work on accelerating his recovery, travelled with the Liverpool squad for their warm-weather training camp in Dubai last month. Although he did not take part in any of the regular training sessions, the Reds were happy the player was ahead of schedule having initially been expected to be out for up to four months.
