Tim Jenkins is reportedly set to leave his role at Liverpool to join Gary O'Neil's backroom staff at Premier League rivals Bournemouth.
Jenkins has been with the Reds for 10 years in various positions, most recently as assistant coach to Marc Bridge-Wilkinson with the Under-18s. He has also worked with the Under-23s under Neil Critchley and spent time as an analyst. But DorsetLive report that Jenkins is set to make the move to the Cherries.
O'Neil spent six months as Liverpool's Under-23s assistant boss before joining Bournemouth, initially as a first-team coach under then-manager Jonathan Woodgate. He remained in place when Scott Parker took over from Woodgate in the summer of 2021. Parker led the Cherries to promotion back to the Premier League last season but was sacked early into this campaign after they were thumped 9-0 by Liverpool at Anfield in August.

O'Neil was handed the caretaker reins and, after picking up 13 points from 11 league games, he was last month confirmed as the Cherries' permanent boss. O'Neill is said to be a big believer in the importance of statistics and analysis and sees Jenkins as ready to make the step up to coaching within senior football. Prior to joining Liverpool, Jenkins worked for ProZone, one of the early pioneers of football analytics in the early 2000s.
Jenkins is expected to be in the Bournemouth dugout for their upcoming Carabao Cup fourth-round tie at Newcastle United on Tuesday, December 20. The Cherries will then resume their league football with a trip to Chelsea on December 27.
