Liverpool 'see' £42m midfielder as long-term signing as Erling Haaland talks emerge

Liverpool continue to battle on all fronts following Sunday's FA Cup victory over Nottingham Forest, which has set up a mouth-watering semi-final clash against Manchester City.

Both the Champions League and Premier League are still up for grabs, too, as the Reds prepare for an exciting end to the season, with the January addition of Luis Diaz having added further attacking depth to their already impressive squad.

But, as the summer edges closer, Liverpool are already being linked with further signings.

So here's a round-up of all the latest transfer news and gossip concerning the Reds from around the globe.

Who?

Aurelien Tchouameni

Where?

Foot Mercato

What?

Liverpool are 'considering' a move for Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, according to this report.

Foot Mercato claims Reds boss Jurgen Klopp sees the 22-year-old as a long-term replacement for Jordan Henderson and James Milner. However, it add that he'll face competition from a number of Europe's top clubs.

Chelsea have been credited with interest in the France international, while Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also reportedly monitoring the situation. Monaco, though, have already set their price for the top prospect.

The report goes on to say that the Ligue 1 side will not accept anything less than 50million euros (£42million) to part ways with Tchouameni.

Who?

Erling Haaland

Where?

Mundo Deportivo

What?

Liverpool have once again emerged as a potential destination for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.

The report comes from Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, who say the Merseyside club are among those 'weighing up' a move for the Norway international. The likes of Real Madrid, Manchester City and Manchester United have also been heavily linked.

It goes on to say that the 21-year-old faces a 'decisive few weeks' with speculation over his future ongoing. Haaland has long been linked with a move away from Dortmund following his dramatic rise on the European stage, but this summer could see him finally move to one of the continent's biggest clubs.

The article states that while Real Madrid and City lead the conversations, the likes of Liverpool and Bayern Munich may need to 'recompose their attack' if Mohamed Salah or Robert Lewandowski are to move on.

Who?

Raphinha

Where?

UOL

What?

Reports from Brazil this week suggest Leeds United's Raphinha has 'rejected' a contract proposal from the club amid interest from elsewhere.

Outlet UOL claim the 25-year-old will only accept a new contract if his release clause, reportedly set at £70m, is reduced. It goes on to say that Liverpool, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are the first clubs to express a desire to sign the player.

The Reds' interest in Raphinha is no secret, but they instead moved to sign Porto's Luis Diaz in January, a player they initially intended to go for in the summer. Whether they choose to add to their attacking ranks further at the end of the season remains to be seen.

According to the report, Leeds' latest contract offer includes a salary improvement almost double what the Brazilian is already earning, but the refusal to reduce the release clause led to a 'interruption' in negotiations.
