A city centre pub will reopen this month under new owners.
The team behind Cask in Stoneycroft have taken over micropub The Coach House on Maryland Street and plan to reopen it this month. The Coach House was previously run by the team behind The Angus on Dale Street, who opened in April 2021.
Before being taken over by The Angus, the pub was called Dickens & King and Hard Times & Misery before that.

Father and son team Eric and Patrick Mills have run Cask on Queens Drive since 2020. They have wanted to acquire a second venue for some time, which led them to the Maryland Street spot.
Patrick, 26, from Huyton, said: "We stumbled across The Coach House, which the lads from Angus on Dale Street had. It didn't fit in with their business plan moving forward and their way of operating.
"It is unofficially recognised as Liverpool's smallest public house. We hope that could get that as an official title or having a look at measuring up."
He added: "With our pricing structure, we'll move that exact same one over to the city centre site. Just because we're in the city centre, we're not going to try to exploit that fact.
"We will lean heavily into being the smallest pub in Liverpool. Micropubs is what we do."
The two-storey pub has a capacity of just 35 people. Its previous iterations have focused on craft beer, while Patrick will bring his focus on cask ale to the new venue.
Speaking about Cask in Stoneycroft, Patrick said: "My passion behind it was building the community aspect back into the pub. I used to drink in The Bard in Prescot and that's what got me into the world of real ale.
"We try to stay as Northern as possible with the beer. We do deal with Liverpool breweries, we've got Top Rope and Carnival in, things like that.
"And we do try to work with the surrounding areas - Manchester, Lancashire beer. We deal a lot with Tatton Brewery, Mobberley in Knutsford - they're a fantastic brewery with really high quality beer. We go as far as Wigan, we try to stay fairly local but try to spread our support for wonderful beer across the North.
"The idea is that we are offering a different experience on the beer pumps as well as the customer base that we have in. We have characters of all sorts and beers of all sorts."
The same ethos will be brought to the tiny city centre site, which will be known as Cask Coach House. Photos shared with the ECHO show the inside of the pub, which has retained a similar look to its previous iteration.
The cask pumps take pride of place on the compact bar, while there are small seating areas on both floors.
The team are working on final details and hope to reveal a confirmed opening date soon.
