Liverpool's next big signing clear as three things spotted in Reds training

Here are your Liverpool evening headlines for Monday, May 2.

Next big Liverpool signing is clear after Jurgen Klopp removes all doubt

Jurgen Klopp was only days removed from setting a new League Cup record at Liverpool when the barrage of questions about his future came.

The Reds boss, with the noise of a ninth success in that competition no doubt still ringing in his ears, was sitting with the media at the club’s AXA Training Centre in early March when he was quizzed about whether or not he would remain in charge beyond what were then his terms until 2024.

Forward Roberto Firmino will be a likely absence against Villarreal on Tuesday night as the Brazilian wasn't among his team-mates at the AXA Training Centre in Kirkby. He has been sidelined with a foot injury since the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City last month.
