Liverpool's Jordan Henderson praises 'fantastic' Chelsea team ahead of Carabao Cup final clash

Chelsea take on Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday in what looks set to be a mouth-watering contest.

The Blues go into Sunday's clash in confident mood, following the club's 2-0 victory in the Champions League round of 16, first leg tie against Lille during the week.

Meanwhile, their opponents have been in scintillating form and are currently on a nine-game winning streak, with Jurgen Klopp's side's latest victory coming against Leeds at Anfield in what was a devastating 6-0 drubbing.

Ahead of the high-octane clash, Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has recently showered the west Londoners with immense praise and believes they have got 'fantastic players all over the park'.

"They are a fantastic team, there’s no getting away from that, with fantastic players," the England international said via Liverpool’s official website.

"They have got [fantastic] players all over the park. They are very strong in midfield, but [also] very strong all over, and they’ve got a very good squad of players.

"You’ve seen what they’ve won recently and over the last year so, they have been successful."

The Reds undoubtedly go into the game favourites and possess a plethora of quality across multiple areas.

Mohammed Salah is currently in the form of his life and has already scored a stunning 27 goals this season in all competitions.

Meanwhile, both full-backs, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson, could play crucial roles from the wider areas and cause carnage if Klopp's men can keep Chelsea camped within their own box for prolonged periods.

The Blues, however, will be confident in their own ability to deliver in an attacking sense and it will be interesting to see if Thomas Tuchel decides to bring Reece James back into the fold, with the German coach confirming that the 22-year-old has participated in the latest training session.
