The Eurovision Song Contest's Liverpool volunteers, EuroVols, will receive a special certificate for their services.
The 400+ strong team took to the streets to welcome, support and entertain thousands of Eurovision fans from across the world last month. EuroVols provided more than 12,000 hours of volunteering across the Eurovision period, working a total of 350 shifts.
All volunteers received training on Disability and Neurodiversity, Intercultural Communication, LGBTQ+ inclusion, first aid training, and sessions on tourism and security training from Merseyside Police.

On Tuesday, June 27, the EuroVols will attend a special event at St George's Hall as a thank you for all of their work. Liverpool’s Lord Mayor, Councillor Mary Rasmussen, will join the city’s cabinet member for Culture, Councillor Harry Doyle, in a celebration of the vital role they played in Liverpool’s globally acknowledged Eurovision host city success.
EuroVol members will be awarded a special certificate to celebrate their runaway success while coming together to enjoy the evening with their colleagues.
The Liverpool contest has been hailed as one of the most successful host city programmes ever. A detailed report of the contest is expected to be ready in July.
