Liverpool's Diogo Jota awarded big FIFA 22 upgrade including underrated attribute boost

Liverpool forward Diogo Jota has been handed a big upgrade in the latest FIFA 22 squad update, with his overall and potential rating increasing for the second time this season.

Jota scored twice for Liverpool in last night's 2-0 win over Leicester City, taking his goal tally in the Premier League this season to 12, four behind Mohamed Salah and three ahead of Heung-Min Son and Jamie Vardy in the golden boot race.

The Portuguese forward has really hit his stride this season and has become a vital part of Liverpool's infamous front three, with his goal tally in all competitions now at 17 goals in 30 appearances.

An aspect of Jota 's game that has proved vital for the Reds this season is his heading ability, with five of his goals in all competitions this season coming from his head. The 25-year-old's incredible aerial ability hasn't gone unnoticed either by EA Sports in their latest round of updates, with Jota not only seeing his overall rating increase but his heading ability as well.

The latest FIFA 22 squad update was released on February 10, 2022, with the squad update now available to download on all platforms including PC, Xbox and PlayStation.

So, what upgrades has Diogo Jota received in FIFA 22? Let's take a look.

Diogo Jota FIFA 22 upgrade

Based on his season so far, Jota has been rewarded for his incredible form with a +1 upgrade to his overall and potential rating, increasing the 25-year-old from 83 to 84 overall, and his potential rating from 88 to 89 overall.

Compared to the rest of the Liverpool forwards, Jota's new rating of 84 overall makes him the fourth highest-rated attacker at the club, with only Salah (91), Sadio Mane (89) and Roberto Firmino (85) rated higher.

Jota has a higher rating than January signing Luis Diaz (83) following the update, whilst he is much higher rated than Divock Origi (76) and Takumi Minamino (75). Along with his rating and potential rating improvements, his heading accuracy and jumping were also increased. Jota's heading accuracy has been boosted from 79/99 to 81/99, and his jumping went up from 76/99 to 79/99.

The Portuguese's new heading accuracy rating of 81 is the fourth-highest at the whole club, with only Virgil van Dijk (86), Mane (84) and Joel Matip (84) rated higher.

Jota's new heading accuracy also takes him above Matip's rating (78) and makes him the fifth-highest at jumping in the Liverpool squad on FIFA 22, with only Van Dijk (88), Mane (87), Firmino (81) and Thiago (80) all higher.

Along with Jota, Naby Keita and Divock Origi were the two other players who received changes in the latest squad update, with Keita's potential rating dropping from 83 to 81 overall, and Origi's weight decreasing from 90kg to 88kg.
