After months of waiting, Liverpool's Darwin Nunez has finally received an accurate update to his appearance in FIFA 23.
After FIFA 23's release in September last year, Liverpool fans were unimpressed with how some members of their squad looked in-game, with the likes of Fabio Carvalho, Kostas Tsimikas and Nunez all given generic, unrealistic face scans. When you consider that the Reds and EA Sports are in a partnership together, it was disappointing to see some players not even look like themselves in the latest FIFA title.
EA attempted to update Nunez's appearance in-game towards the end of 2022, but an error saw the striker look even less like himself, with EA making the Uruguayan bald, and he's far from that. As expected, this left some fans even more annoyed than before, especially when some players in-game even have identical tattoos, yet they couldn't get a well-known player's hairstyle correct.

But, it appears in EA's latest squad update, they have done all they can to correct their wrongs, and Nunez has finally been given a realistic face scan, as well as accurate tattoos. This means when you now use the Reds in FIFA 23, there won't be a bald striker leading the line.
Nunez looks the spitting image of himself in-game, even down to the loose strands of hair poking out of his man-bun. The tattoos on his arm, leg, back and neck have also all been added to his body in the latest update, leaving the striker as one of Liverpool's most realistic-looking players in FIFA 23.
The latest squad update in FIFA 23 also saw a handful of upgrades and downgrades to the Reds squad as well as some new additions. Cody Gakpo is now part of the Liverpool squad in-game, whilst highly-rated youngster Ben Doak has been added into the game for the first time, with the Scotsman rated 61 overall with a potential rating of 84 out of 99.
Fellow youngster Stefan Bajetic has received a +2 upgrade to his overall rating as well as an upgrade to his skill moves rating, and the likes of Nunez, Luis Diaz, Thiago, Fabinho and Trent Alexander-Arnold have all seen minor changes made to their in-game stats.
