For some people Liverpool Crown Court has become something of a second home with the amount of times they appear in the dock.
The majority of people would see an appearance in court as being a one-off nightmare.
But, over the last year Liverpool's courts have seen dozens of people whose records of offences run into double and triple figures.

Bungling career criminal back in jail after making major burglary mistake
A serial burglar whose gloating behaviour previously landed him in jail squandered a chance at freedom after another mistake during a burglary.
Jonathan Dougan was part of a gang that launched a burglary of Blue Whale Media in Warrington in August last year, stealing £69,000 worth of electronics.
Yet Dougan, who told police he was brought into the plot at the last minute, was the only member of the gang to be caught after leaving his DNA on the van. None of the other people involved have been traced.
It comes after he landed himself in prison in 2014 by posting pictures of his loot from a previous burglary on social media, alerting police.
Derek Jones, prosecuting, told Liverpool Crown Court yesterday that Dougan, 34, had been sentenced to two lengthy stints in prison in both 2008 and 2014.
Drunk thug wearing rubber glove stabbed man twice as he jumped from flat window
A drunk thug stabbed a man multiple times as he jumped for his life from a window.
Karl McIntyre stabbed Anthony Owens in the leg and the arm with a 10 inch kitchen knife after a night of drinking.
McIntyre, 41, and his friend, Gary Davies, 32, had been invited into Mr Owens' flat, in Bootle, when they didn't have anywhere else to go.
Louise McCloskey, prosecuting, told Liverpool Crown Court that in the early hours, Gary Davies and Karl McIntyre turned up at Mr Owens' flat and were allowed in.
Miss McCloskey said: “What followed was an unprovoked attack on the complainant who had done nothing other than offer both defendants hospitality and kindness."
The court heard Davies had 29 previous convictions for 40 offences including violence and McIntyre has 55 convictions for 86 offences including assaults, robbery and possessing an offensive weapon.
Prolific burglar who tried to swim away from police calls himself 'an idiot'
A prolific burglar who tried to flee from police by swimming across a pond and hiding in reeds told a court: “I’m an idiot”.
Jeffrey Dey, 32, has 100 previous convictions for 196 previous offences and ended up back in court after being seen riding an expensive electric bike stolen from a charity workshop.
He and two other men had smashed their way into the Mecycle cafe and bike shop in Ainsdale and each rode off on an electric bike.
On seeing police, they disappeared into undergrowth leaving behind two of the bicycles. One of the men was caught near Formby Hall Golf Resort but the court heard he was not charged.
About 3.10am Dey was sighted on a green bike going towards Switch Island before travelling onto Broom’s Cross Road and near to Back Lane at Lunt.
Miss Nemat said: “He then fell off the bicycle before running away. He ran to a pond and and jumped in before swimming and trying to hide in reeds but the police were able to catch him."
Hopeless crook smeared his blood around Ma Egerton's pub
A hopeless crook who burgled Ma Egerton's Stage Door left his blood smeared around the famous pub.
Stephen McCouid, 38, has 51 previous convictions for a staggering 104 offences, including robbery, burglary and thefts.
He was once jailed for 10 years after bungled raids when he pretended a vacuum cleaner attachment was a shotgun.
Liverpool Crown Court today heard McCouid struck at the historic venue in Pudsey Street on October 8 last year.
Christopher Hopkins, prosecuting, said Nicholas Ho, who works at the Victorian pub, was sleeping in a third floor bedroom.
He was woken by a "loud bang" in the early hours of the morning and saw one of two intruders, who he told to get out.
The men ran downstairs and he could hear rummaging and the sound of glass breaking before the burglars fled and police arrived.
Mr Hopkins said a bathroom window had been smashed to gain entry, where McCouid's blood was left on the windowsill.
Blood was also left on a combination lock to an office, various items had been moved around in the bar and a bin bag was abandoned on the landing contained bottles of spirits.
Mr Hopkins said the raid caused Mr Ho "significant distress" and in a victim statement he outlined how he had trouble sleeping afterwards.
Smirking burglar 'exploited' vulnerable mum he was dating
A smirking burglar 'exploited' a vulnerable mum he was dating and recruited her to join his life of crime.
Lee Owens, 42, has been breaking into properties since he was a boy and has 55 previous convictions for 162 offences.
When he moved in with Lisa Fletcher, the 47-year-old mum, of Drake Crescent, Fazakerley, didn't have a criminal record.
But she soon helped him carry out two commercial burglaries, during a spate of raids led by the long term drug addict.
Liverpool Crown Court heard Owens struck at the Caribbean restaurant Turtle Bay, in Victoria Street, Liverpool city centre, on August 16 last year.
He was seen on CCTV walking into the restaurant and going upstairs to a toilet and staff room, where he found a key for a safe.
Thug glasses pensioner with bottle of Budweiser
A thug bottled a pensioner in the face after claiming the victim was friends with a rapist.
Dennis Morgan and John O'Brien discussed a mutual acquaintance while drinking in Williamson Square in Liverpool city centre.
Liverpool Crown Court heard an argument broke out when 34-year-old Morgan accused this unidentified man of being a rapist.
But when Mr O'Brien said he would continue being friends with the man, Morgan attacked the 69-year-old and left him permanently scarred.
Morgan, of Malvern Road, Kensington, who later admitted wounding, has 37 previous convictions for 75 offences.
'Desperate' robber walked into travel agency and grabbed terrified women with baby
A robber subjected three women working at a travel agency to a terrifying ordeal after he grabbed hold of one of them and demanded cash.
Serial robber Gary Gilboy, 60, entered the Hays Travel shop in St Helens town centre on the afternoon of Friday, June 11.
Gilboy, of Salisbury Avenue, Netherton, was masked, wearing a baseball cap, and carrying a rucksack.
Three women were in the store at the time - the female manager, a female employee, and another woman who also worked there but was visiting while on a day off, along with a one-year-old child in a buggy.
CCTV showed to Liverpool Crown Court showed Gilboy entering the Church Street store. He first pulled one of the women up from her seat by the blazer of her uniform, and then grabbed the manager forcefully by the arm, and marched them both into the rear area where the safe was located.
The woman with the buggy, meanwhile, left the store in a state of panic and immediately called police.
The court heard that Gilboy's criminal record went back 45 years, and he had carried out 34 previous robberies prior to this one.
