A Liverpool riverside restaurant has been named one of the best in the UK.
Those looking for a vista as good as the food should head to Maray, according to The Times. Sharing a list of the 31 best riverside pubs and restaurants in the UK, the venue on the Royal Albert Dock made the cut.
Maray, which has two sites in the city, serves Middle-Eastern-inspired small plates catering for both vegetarians and vegans. Following The Times' review, Maray has launched a new spring and summer menu that includes a new vegan dish complete with fried aubergine, green tahini, vine tomato salsa, agave and kale.

The dessert section also reintroduces a baklava cheesecake that proved popular during a trial run for Mother's Day weekend. Andy Lynes, from The Times, said: "For a spot of Middle Eastern-inspired dockside dining, head to this buzzy glass-fronted restaurant overlooking the water and boats of Liverpool’s Albert Dock.
"There’s outdoor dining next to the dock too, though taken at your own risk since it’s uncovered. Let the spicy flavours of 'disco cauliflower' made with chermoula and harissa hot sauces dance on your tongue, then calm things down with a Moloko cocktail made with pomegranate, rum, lime and mint."
Bosses at Maray said they were thrilled to receive the accolade. Speaking to the ECHO, managing director, James Bates said: "We're delighted to be included in such a lovely list.
"Our Dockside restaurant really comes into its own in the summer months and we've recently invested in new outdoor seating and added some summery dishes to our menu, so we're ready for the warmer months."
