A Liverpool restaurant has been named among the top 100 most romantic restaurants in the UK.
Valentine's Day is just around the corner, with many people keen to celebrate with their better half, or even with friends or family. It's the day to embrace love - and a bit of cheesiness for good measure - and venturing to a decent restaurant is one such way to do just that.
Thankfully, Liverpool has no shortage of excellent dining options, with a medley of independent venues, chains and more to tickle food lovers' taste-buds.

Those on the hunt for somewhere intimate and romantic are also spoilt for choice, but it's Seel Street venue Wreckfish that has recently garnered attention and adulation.
Reservations site OpenTable compiled a list of the 100 most romantic restaurants in the UK "by analysing over one million diner reviews" to curate an extensive Valentine's Day restaurant guide. Wreckfish, by Elite Bistros, was the only Liverpool venue to make it into the top 100.
The restaurant, located in Liverpool's bustling city centre, found its home in a derelict building, which was dramatically transformed after a successful crowdfunding campaign. The 90-cover restaurant serves "simple bistro food using the best quality ingredients possible".
The review OpenTable chose to highlight reads: "Another excellent experience with the Elite Bistro family. Friendly, welcoming and attentive staff. Delicious high end bistro style food that is amazing value for money. Accompanied by an lovely wine list and an eclectic sound track."
Wreckfish Bistro is based at 60 Seel Street, Liverpool, L1 4BE.
