A Liverpool restaurant manager has described what it was like to host Hollywood star Will Ferrell as he visited the city.
The actor, who has starred in films including Elf and Anchorman, dined at Liverpool ONE restaurant and bar Mamasan on Saturday, where he posed for a photo with the restaurant's manager before enjoying a weekend of football. Will was also pictured at the Hope Street Hotel's 1931 Restaurant ahead of the Merseyside Derby.
Speaking of his experience of meeting the actor, Mamasan's general manager, Michael Lawler said: "We knew Will was coming in and it was all booked through his PA around two weeks before.

"Will and his friends were very friendly. They put everybody at ease with their conversation and questions about the city and our menu. We also spoke about football as he was over for the Wrexham game, Manchester City game and the Merseyside Derby. Will showed an interest in Eurovision and how busy our city would be the week of it."
Will and his guests headed to one of Mamasan's private dining room, where they enjoyed some of the restaurant's popular dishes. Spanning across three floors, the South East Asian-inspired restaurant features a panoramic roof terrace and bar and high caliber sound system.
Michael added: "We managed to get him to his private dining room without other diners noticing him. Whilst in the room, he and his friends could relax knowing nobody knew he was in there.
"Will and his friends ordered starters and main courses to share, including our Hebridean seared scallops, crispy black pepper and ginger squid and our fan favourite, Thai fried chicken in a wasabi caramel sauce. Main courses were our famous short tub of beef Massaman curry, green curry of monkfish and king prawn and coal roasted chicken satay among others, finished off with mango rice pudding and chocolate delice."
