Liverpool have rejected a bid from RB Leipzig for Fábio Carvalho. Their preference would be to find a loan for the 20-year-old but they could be open to a permanent deal that included a buy-back clause.
Carvalho, who can play in midfield or as a winger, made eight starts this season after joining from Fulham. He was involved in 10 of the first 11 league matches but played only 11 minutes in the league after that and Jürgen Klopp opened the door to a loan last Friday.

Brentford have completed the signing of the goalkeeper Mark Flekken from Freiburg after activating the €13m (£11.2m) release clause. The 24-year-old right-back joined from Porto in 2018 and has gone on to make 107 appearances in all competitions for the club.
Dalot began the season very well under Erik ten Hag, but the much-improved Aaron Wan-Bissaka may get the nod to start Saturday’s FA Cup final at right-back.
