Liverpool have received a huge morale boost ahead of tonight's meeting with Leeds after Chelsea were beaten 4-1 by Brighton.
The Reds started the weekend ninth in the Premier League, with last week's 1-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest leaving them seven points short of Spurs in fourth. A return to Anfield, where they remain unbeaten across all competition this season, presents an opportunity for Jurgen Klopp's side to build in their midweek win at Ajax and climb up the table.

Graham Potter endured a torrid return to the AMEX this afternoon, with Roberto De Zerbi - who succeeded Potter on the south coast - beating his Chelsea side 3-1. The Seagulls were 3-0 up at half-time, with Leandro Trossard's opener followed by two own-goals from Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Trevoh Chalobah.
Kai Havertz pulled one back after the break, but Chelsea failed to apply serious pressure to a resolute Brighton outfit, and Pascal Groß slotted home a fourth close the full-time.
Results down south mean Liverpool can go to within four points of Spurs in the final Champions League place, and Klopp's men also have a game in hand. Manchester United, who also look like challenging this season, face West Ham United tomorrow.
