Liverpool continue to be linked with a move for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount.
The Reds have been frequently credited with an interest in a move for the England international in the summer. Liverpool are set to be in the market for midfielders when the transfer window reopens, but it remains to be seen whether Mount is a genuine target.
Mount’s current deal with Chelsea is set to expire at the end of next season in 2024. Reports have suggested that talks over a new contract at Stamford Bridge have stalled in recent weeks.

This has led to speculation that Mount could be on the move in the summer, with Liverpool linked with his services. And now 90min have provided an update on the 24-year-old’s future.
The report claims that Liverpool are “very keen” on signing Mount at the end of the season. It has also been stated that the current situation at Chelsea could help the Reds.
It has been reported in the article that Liverpool are monitoring Mount’s situation at Stamford Bridge. It has then been claimed that the Reds are prepared to “take advantage” and make a move ahead of the summer transfer window.
Liverpool have three midfielders who are currently out of contract this summer. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita and James Milner are all set to leave if nothing changes, with no sign yet of an extension for any of the trio.
Chelsea boss Graham Potter spoke about Mount’s future last week. Potter said in a press conference on Friday that he hoped the situation would get sorted out sooner rather than later.
“It's always complicated [to comment on this]. It's best I leave it with Mason and the club,” said Potter last week.
“For sure Mount has been fantastic to work with, [an] important player. I hope it gets resolved quickly."
