Liverpool Q&A recap - Transfers, FSG ownership, Klopp's state of mind, Nunez and more

Welcome to a recap of the latest Liverpool Q&A, with the ECHO's chief LFC writer Ian Doyle who answered questions around all the burning issues from supporters.

The Reds rounded off their Champions League group stage with a 2-0 win over Napoli on Tuesday night and will now eagerly await next week's draw for the last 16.

However, it has been an inconsistent season for Jurgen Klopp's side and their form in the Premier League has been indifferent with Liverpool in ninth place - 15 points behind table-topping Arsenal and 13 adrift of defending champions Manchester City. It has been a rollercoaster of emotions recently with the team looking back to their best during a 1-0 win over City last month, only to suffer defeats to strugglers Nottingham Forest and Leeds United.

Q&A: Ian Doyle's answers to your question about Liverpool in the comments section below

The Reds have three more fixtures before the break for the World Cup, starting with Sunday's trip to Tottenham. They then host Derby County in the Carabao Cup before Southampton visit Anfield again - but even if Klopp's men are victorious in all three games there are still a number of issues lingering in the background.

Who will Liverpool sign in January? Will they have to wait until next summer to go after Jude Bellingham? Will FSG give Klopp the funds to sign the players he wants in the next two transfer windows? Speaking of FSG, there's also been some disgruntlement among fans about their stewardship of the club and a perceived lack of investment in the squad has seen a team which challenged for an unprecedented quadruple last season suffer a noticeable drop off.

Darwin Nunez, meanwhile, appears to have put an uncertain to look a little more like a player worth the amount Liverpool paid for him. As for Klopp, the fact his agent felt compelled to come out and speak about his client's future is interesting. What can be read into the fact he needed to do that?

The Q&A with Ian has ended, but you can take our survey to tell us what you think about the Reds' season so far.
